NEW YEAR EVE

Another boring new year eve for me. Last day of 2007, as usual most people need to work. So do i, haiz. Although it might be a half day work, but for me & my partner. We need to clear today stuff and tomorrow stuff. Cos our workload cannot be stack up, we only can afford to clear early or else we have to bare the consequences. Cos Ecolab customers are those big laundry industries, SCORE Laundry and even some Hotels. As we know, even on public holiday they still running in business.

Today i managed to finish work at around 2pm, then upon reaching home. I decided to ask Ivan to go Safra together, for a short swim at around 4pm. After our swim at around 5plus, he drive me home. Then i prepare myself to go AMK to play arcade with the 3 guys -_-". What a way to spent the eve, dont need to squeeze around in the crowd. A little boring, but at least not staying at home sleeping =(.

At around 12am, i begin to flood my friends with Happy New Year messages. Keke, I sent a total of around 75 messages to 75 different people. Including to my Dear & Lao Po in Malaysia =).

Movie (Alvin and the Chipmunks)
Jiayi Birthday

During Christmas eve Min say about watching the Movie Alvin and The Chipsmunks. Since i also very long no watch movie already, so for the pass few days. I did a check on those who wanna watch, and fixed a similar available timeslot to watch the movie.

After all the checking, finally concluded only left Hazel & Min. And we came with the conclusion of Today 12pm.

The show is cute, funny, nice & alittle romantic between that guy and his ex. Haiz... sometime i really wish all those romantic things can happen to me =(.

I was being told by my another God-Sis, today is her friend Goh JiaYi 14th 14th birthday =_=". She is also my god-sis.

The Story

The story begins in a hill backdrop in a forest during the winter. Three singing chipmunks named Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) are singing Daniel Powter's "Bad Day". Alvin complains about the food storage when he accidentally empties their stock. Alvin then complains about his own tough life to struggle for his survival and even called their tree a "stupid, stupid tree". Then the tree is chopped down (with the unfortunate trio on it). But while chopping, as the tree shakes, Theodore thinks that Alvin had made the tree angry. The tree is netted down to a truck and driven to a city in the process of becoming a Christmas tree. Meanwhile, struggling songwriter David "Dave" Seville, (Jason Lee) is late for his arrival at JETT Records. Dave submits his song to JETT records, but is rejected by executive Ian Hawke (David Cross), who says he hates Dave's latest song. The Chipmunks and the tree, turning into a Christmas tree, end up in the lobby of JETT records. The Chipmunks manage to escape the tree and get into Dave's car via a muffin basket he was carrying. When Dave gets home, he dumps the muffin basket in the garbage can and sets about throwing all his music equipment out the door. Dave hears the Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon and Theodore) go into his cabinet or pantry. The Chipmunks set about raiding his cupboards, while Dave watches television. When Dave discovers them, Theodore is caught eating while Alvin attacks Dave.

Alvin finally causes Dave to lose consciousness by dropping a glass jar onto his head. When Dave wakes up, he realizes that "squirrels" can talk, but Alvin corrects him that they're chipmunks. Dave then forces them to leave his house after they introduce themselves. Dave hears the Chipmunks singing "Only you" and brings them back into his house. Later, Dave makes a deal; if they sing his songs, they get to stay with him. Then Alvin reminds him about his music equipment outside, and he runs back to get them in order to make more music again, despite the terrible weather outside.

Dave puts them to bed in an armchair; whilst the Chipmunks sleep, their snores accumulate into a song, sparking Dave's inspiration. Having retrieved his musical equipment, he writes The Chipmunk Song. When Dave awakens the next morning, the Chipmunks are trying to catch waffles, but when Simon tries to catch it, it drops right in front of him and he doesn't see it. Dave holds up two fingers and Simon says Dave was holding up four. Realizing Simon is nearsighted, Dave finds a tiny pair of round-framed glasses from a decorative Santa and gives them to Simon. After he pushes them back towards his face, Simon can now see perfectly. The Chipmunks then sing Dave's song successfully.

Dave returns to JETT records and shows Ian his surprise, the three Chipmunks with his jingle in the background. Though the Chipmunks sang the song perfectly earlier, they get stage fright and refuse to sing, so Ian leaves. In the car ride back to Dave's house, they admit to Dave about their stage fright, and Dave sends them home. When Dave finally gets to his job, he begins presenting his advertising pitch about the "Goodable Energy Bar" commercial, but Simon calls him on the cell-phone because Alvin and Theodore are inside the vacuum cleaner, and Simon is thinking of making an indoor-swimming pool because he doesn't know how to turn off the sink faucet. Then, when Dave tries to clear his mind off the trouble, he discovers that the Chipmunks have drawn all over his presentation boards. Dave decides to clean out his office, as he knows that he is fired. He is furious when he gets home and is mad at Simon and Theodore while they are watching television. Theodore is scared because he cannot fix Dave's anger with numerous apologies. Dave finds Alvin taking a shower in the dishwasher, and when he talks firmly to the 3 Chipmunks, Theodore elbows onto the phone's answering machine button.

Dave is reminded by the message from the answering machine that he has a date with his crush, Claire Wilson (Cameron Richardson). Dave realizes that she'll be arriving at 7:00, so he quickly runs to the grocery store to buy the food, but he has a problem with the refrigerator because they have gathered up all the junk into it while cleaning up. Then, Alvin turns on the heater, plays the CD Player, breaks things, and tries to spy on Dave and Claire when they are having a dinner. When Dave admits that "My life is being sabotaged by talking Chipmunks.", Claire doesn't believe him and leaves, thinking he hasn't changed at all. Dave realizes that the plan is not successful, and he tries to put them in a box with waffles, a plastic water bottle, a blanket, and pencil holes in the box. He tries to write a letter of apology that he cannot keep them like this, but then he crumbles the letter up, and then throws it away, thinking that it is not a good idea. Then, he tries to find the Chipmunks (who had taken a cab to Ian's mansion), but he gives up his search and goes to sleep.

The Chipmunks attempt to make it up to him by going to Ian's mansion and singing Dave's Christmas song, to which Ian responds, "Welcome to Jett Records." While at the supermarket with the Chipmunks, he admits he is lacking in money, due to the Chipmunks piling waffles into his shopping cart. But at that point, his song appears on the store radio and Dave is rung up by Ian, who gives Dave the job.

On Christmas Eve, Theodore tells Dave that he had a nightmare and that he wants to sleep with him. Dave says, "Okay, sure, but stay on that side of the bed." The next morning, Alvin and Simon wake up Dave and Theodore and they exchange gifts. Simon gets Dave a paper clip compass that he made, Alvin gets Dave his own wallet, and Theodore gives Dave a moving card with Pineapple-like images of the four as a family, but Dave is firm that they are friends and nothing more. Dave gets the Chipmunks each a $100 savings bond, which they can spend in seven years, much to Alvin's displeasure. Suddenly, Ian bursts in (in his Santa Claus hat and carrying a bag stuffed with presents) and gives the Chipmunks lots of gifts, leading them to calling him Uncle Ian.

One week later, when the Chipmunks have their first concert (in which they sing "Witch Doctor"), they are further separated from Dave by Ian, who tells them that they could be amazing if they were with him and says that Dave calls them "rats" behind their backs. That night, Theodore discovers a letter from Dave he had written after his dinner disaster the other night, telling the Chipmunks to leave. Saddened, they decide to leave Dave and live with Ian.
The Chipmunks start their coast to coast tour, but before the next concert, Simon finds his old pair of glasses and switches them around with the pair that Ian gave him. Later, while Dave is shaving, he sees Julian Reynolds on the news, talking about how the Chipmunks are going to do their concert in Los Angeles. He decides that it is time to get the Chipmunks back and teach Ian a lesson in greed.

At the LA concert, a doctor says that they can't sing because their voices have given out. Ian, who refuses to hand out refunds, asks them to lip sync (which Simon calls "cheating"). The chipmunks are convinced that Dave really doesn't want them back when Ian tells them that Dave called and said that he is happy and doing great and that Dave didn't go to their concert because he's too busy. Dave manages to get in to see the Chipmunks (the security had been tipped off by Ian about him after Ian talked to Dave on the phone). The security grabs Dave and ignores his press pass that Claire provided, and Dave tries yelling for Alvin two times. The Chipmunks leave Ian with an exit that makes the crowd angry that they lip-synched. Dave then warns Ian that since the Chipmunks ruined the concert, word will soon get out, and their popularity will decline. Ian however, remains unfaded by this, stating that because they are talking Chipmunks, people will still come.

Security corners them and Ian locks the Chipmunks up in a cat carrier, placing them near the new dolls of them while he quickly gets ready to board the plane for the Chipmunks Paris concert. But Alvin convinces Simon to use his brain to think of a way out. Ian runs out with the cat carrier and starts to drive off. Dave sets after him, egged on by the real Chipmunks standing on the front passenger seat. Dave stops the car after realizing that the real Chipmunks were with him, after they easily unlocked the carrier. After admitting that they are a family, Dave lets the Chipmunks steer his car (Alvin), honk the horn (Theodore), and operate the window wipers (Simon). Later on, Ian looks into the carrier and is shocked to find the Chipmunk dolls instead of the Chipmunks.

Later, Claire arrives, and Dave and the Chipmunks have prepared toaster waffles and champagne. Alvin tries to get the cork out of the champagne bottle, but when he succeeds, the cork flies into a glass china set, and all the liquid pours out of the glass. Dave's patience is tested as he tries his best not to "say it". The liquid damages the power outlet which causes a blackout. Dave decides to "say it," and yells his name. Alvin responds with "Okay!"

The movie ends with Ian, now out of a job, unsuccessfully trying to get a new trio of squirrels to sing (who apparently refuse).

Stupid & Boring Day

2 weeks ago mum sent me an sms while i am working. Asking me whether today wanna go to my Dad's company BBQ. Thinking that i havn't accompany my family enough, so i agree in joining them today.

It was a bad start of the day, we took bus 16 to there. As usual it was a long trip to there, is ok i am quite patience in taking bus. But everything went so wrong, my dad do not exactly know which stop to get off. And i just followed him blindy, we drop off 3 stops earlier then the exact bus stop. Damn he always assume, dont wanna admit or say he dont know the way. In the end walk a long way, and then to the same place which i usually walk. Walking is fine, just that when we walked half way. It began to rain big big sia, -_-". In the end we hang around at one of the HDB, for approx 15min.

When the rain become smaller, then we moved out for our destination (bowling alley). Cos they will be having a small league there, at first i was told that i am allowed to play. Then in the end, bloody ass they say they have enough people already. I spent near 3 hrs there doing nothing, with an empty stomach some more. Damn knn sia, we had a late breakfast then sought of we eat breakfast & lunch together. Super hungry sia.

Haiz then never mind, after the stupid waiting at the bowling alley. Then still a super long walk then we reach the chalet for our DINNER. Super hungry and fed up lohz, should have go out eat myself also better thne wasting time here. I sought of tell myself, if there is any other this type of outing. I SHALL NOT WANT TO GO ANYMORE ~!~!~!

Christmas Eve Gathering

Today me & yun organising gathering for our cousin. On the list there are -

Part 1

We will be having dinner at Depot Road, Botak Jones. I ask Rae to did a double check to see the place is it open during Christmas Eve, i even asked her to reserve our sits. I am afraid it will be pack with alot of people. But at around 7.30pm, after i reach the place. I am stun x_x, it is just a normal stall at hawker centre. Lolz, surprisingly... The boss really reserve a table for us, lolz. The food there is not bad, especially the chickens =P

Part 2

After our food, we went to Mount Faber Safra to play bowling =P. I am told to reserve lane for 8pm. Lolz in the end we finish dinner at around 7.50, then we decided to walk there. Cos eat until super full lolz. Luckily the alley is not very pack, after we get there we proceed to get the lanes. Here are my scores -_-" got bad bad score =(

Nautica

Today i got work !!! =P, last week my partner was inform. That this saturday he will need to service a ship, Nautica. He got check with me whether i want to join him, he told me if i got something on is ok de. But in the end i agree to go with him, cos he mention other countries de products all are every different from SG de. Then the dispensers on the ship, all is being set up in Europe.

Today Joe is picking me up at my house downstair, at around 9.30am. 1st thing to do was to change pass, before we can get the hell in. The lady at the counter was damn slow sia, still manually use hand written. Haiz....

After boarding the ship, we cant move anywhere we like. We have to wait for someone to escort us, he will accompany us throughtout the whole process until we get off the ship. One thing weird, on board the ship. We are servicing all the kitchens dish washer machines. The guy will show us to all the machine onboard, then my partner will do a check / service it. It took us approx 1hr to finish all the sets onboard, then the guy who escort us. He show us to the canteen, at there we are allow to get something to eat. The food was not bad =P, rather nice =).

After the wonderfull lunch, we are being show to the Head Stewart. As he is in charge of the kitchen, so my partner will need to tell him whats wrong + whats needed to be change. Then my partner will follow all the info to office, then office will inform the next location all the details that we have obtained.

Warlords

Today meeting the Xiu Sisters & Rod for a movie. Before the movie we had dinner together, then the Xiu Sisters pass me my belated birthday present =P

Storyline -

Synopsis:

The nineteenth century was an era of conflict: the Franco-Prussian War and the establishment of the German Empire in Europe; the Civil War in America; the Meiji Restoration in Japan; the Opium War in China followed by the Taiping Rebellion in Nanjing… all critical events that shaped the world today. At times of chaos, heroes are born yet innocence is forever lost…

It’s the mid-19th century, one of the darkest periods of Chinese history. The country is suffering under the rule of the corrupt Manchus who invaded China from the North and established the country’s last imperial dynasty, the Qing. Natural disasters are wreaking havoc in the countryside, and in the midst of this chaos, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, one of the strongest rebel groups ever to rise up in China, is overrunning the country and staging battles with the Qing army threatening the Dragon throne.

Movie Review:

Having helmed Comrades: Almost a Love Story (1996) and Perhaps Love (2005), which incidentally are what we think the two greatest Asian films of all time, director-producer is back with his latest work, and it is a war drama? Where is the romantic love story? Where are the long-suffering male and female protagonists? Where are the melancholically-colored shots of lovers pinning for their dreams to come true?

Fans of the visionary filmmaker need not fear, because this movie successfully delivers the heart and soul of brotherhood amidst the adrenaline-driven storyline.

During the war-plagued 19th century in the late Qing dynasty China, three men will become blood brothers and swear to be true to each other, despite all the political upheavals and unrest around them. Circumstances evolve as years pass, and the brotherhood eventually culminates in tragedy.

Known for his well-produced films which are box office and critical successes, Chan’s signature is clear in the high production values of this 125-minute movie. The saga boasts of several big-scale war sequences which are exquisitely-choreographed and grittily-shot without losing pace. The thousands of soldiers, horses, bows and arrows will leave you in awe, thinking that the movie is executed as well as, if not better, than the many Hollywood productions you have seen before. Couple that with some breathtaking cinematography, tight editing and dramatic music score by a Pan-Asian production team: You’d be leaving the theatre with nothing but praise for the movie.

The leading men’s charisma is also something that you won’t miss. Playing the eldest brother is action star Jet Li (Rogue Assassin, Fearless) who portrays the fallen hero with the right amount of angst and anguish. Complemented by action coordinator Ching Siu-Tung’s (Curse of the Golden Flower, House of Flying Daggers) choreography, Li scores in this role. Heavenly king Andy Lau (Protégé, Battle of Wits) plays a tragic hero torn between different factions. The many emotional scenes definitely make this one of the best performances in Lau’s career. The charming Takeshi Kaneshiro (Perhaps Love , Turn Left Turn Right) may look somewhat too contemporary as the youngest brother, but his increasingly affective acting more than makes up for that. Rounding up the well-represented Asian cast is the talented Xu Jinglei (Confession of Pain), who plays the supporting role conflicted wife without being too overlooked.

The very emotionally-charged plot will mean that it will take a capable director to make the movie work. And Chan has competently told the story to move the most cold-hearted audience. There will be at least two scenes where you may reach out for your hankie and reflect on the relevance on human nature some 150 years later in present day.

Such is the skill of a good storyteller like Chan: It doesn’t matter when the tale is set in; a fine filmmaker will have the power to affect you emotionally amidst all the wham-bham action of things.

Personal view -
The movie is quite nice. But so sad the big brother, in the three swear blood brotherhood. He betray his brothers, and in the end all of them dies.

Taking a Break @ AMK

Once again my arcade gang came up with the idea going to go AMK to play 4 ppl de 3 guo. This time not the 3 of us only, i heard they will be calling one of the xiao di playing at TB de. Once again, we conquer the machine all the way till the arcade close lolz. Not a bad experience playing together with them, but i still prefer 1 person playing. Much more neat, cos 4 people playing is super messy. Lolz, after our game. We took a bus home, cos it is already quite late. We already missed the last train. Lolz ... .. .

And also, today i got a news from Ethan. He told me everyone who have character at Delp server. Will be awarded with 1500 Maple points, cos last week Delp server had some problem. So those people who train hard, all their hard work is in vain. =_=" Lucky i never touch my character in that server le. But the maple points i still have it, as it is one account sharing 4 servers. So means i can use the 1500 maple points to buy things in my main Bootie server. What are good news =)

OFF DAY ~!~!~!

Today i dont need go work yipee...

Cos last night my partner did over over time. After everything ends on around 6pm, he still got to work at around 3am in the morning at one of the factory -_-", cos during the day time the factory is running so cant do any repairs. He had to wait for the factory to stop working then he can repair the laundry dispensers.

Something to add on for the previous post, is really true for what the GM say about him. He is really big size, big size is the sense like body builder that type x_X".

1st day @ work

Straight away after the 2nd interview, my partner sms me. He told me to meet at 8.30am @ simei mrt there de bus stop. Early morning i woke up and get my ass out of my house. It is a long trip down to simei, i managed to reach early at around 8.15am. But my partner is late, he reach at around 9am -_-".

Then we proceed for the first location which he is going to service, Cluster A (Changi Prison). When we are going to go in, there is a problem -_-". The office ppl never sent my name, to clear for entry. So sad, that means i had to wait outside, until around 11plus or later. I spent around 3 hrs more at the visitor centre -_-". Staring at the blank, playing with my handphone.

Dont know how many sms i used, i chat with Shiqi (maple sis) + Jiayi(maple sis) + Jessica (god-sis). Haiz, my partner finally came out of the prison at around 1plus -_-". Dont really know what is going on inside, which let him stay until so long. After he came out then we proceed to Tampines hawker to eat lao mee O.o". Taste not bad, just $3 is such a big bowl. The amount is like for $4 ++ de.

After our quick bite (not even standard 1 hr lunch break -_-"), we head down in his company van. Now we are heading for Ritz Carlton Hotel, yes the 6 star hotel near suntec city. Then after that he brought me to Bayshore Park Condo somewhere around bedok that area. That the end of our todays routine.

Today conclusion for today, he show me 3 big custormers which Ecolab have :
SCORE, which is inside prison. SCORE provide laundry to most of the hospitals in Singapore.
Then Ritz Carlton Hotel, they was some of their F&B stuff/sauana robe/bedsheets.
Lastly is those condo small laundry shops, which is under a big company Systematic Laundry.

2nd Interview @ Ecolab

Today i will be meeting up with the GM of the company. He is going to telling me more about the company and also a brief explanation on what will i be doing. I really dont know why they ask the GM to come explain to me, he is the no. 1 guy for the company (head of the company in SG).

Feeling very stress after sitting down facing him, he is very tall and big size. Then he start talking about the company.

The company in singapore :
It contain 3 division - Institutional, Food & Beverage, Water Treatment
I will be working with my partner under Institutional department.
We will be doing things related to laundry.
Then i was told, those machine are very big washing machine.
Then quite a few hotel also using their product, to wash their towel "white white"

After all the introduction, GM ask Shandy to give me my "uniform". Uniform is just normal very thin de cloth, with ECOLAB at the front centre. She gave me 3 pieces. Then i was told, to ask my partner to bring me go buy safety boots.

And GM mentioned one thing which got into my mind, i will be working closely under my partner. Cos my job title is Assistant Servicing Technician, my partner is the main servicing technician. Morning meet what time, what time end work all see my partner. Then whether i am needed anot for saturday, also my partner will give the call.

Now all my fear is transfered to my partner, really wondering what type of partner will i have. -_-", will be starting work on 6th Thursday. I was told to start work tomorrow, but i told them i need 1 day break =P.

Interveiw @ Ecolab



Today i got a call from Brenda again, this time she got me a temp job. She cannot explain to me more about the job scoope and everything. But he tell me one thing, i must go down interview today -_-". She call me at 1plus, telling me try to reach there before 4.30pm.

Then quickly i changed and head out to the company. It is a very "?" journey, neither had i been there before nor i have seen this company before. Lol, luckily http://www.streetdirectory.com/ helped me alot. It even wrote will will i see when i alight at the right bus stop. Keke.

No trouble for me in getting to the place =P.


Reached there waited for quite awhile with another guy. Both of us was called to come by Brenda, moments later Ms Shandy came to interview him me first and then him. That guy heard one thing which make him changes his mind to pick up this job. The lady told him, that he might need to come back to work or altnernate saturdays.


As for me, everything was smooth for me. Cos i am very easy going, althought i told them i didnt have any experience in this industry before. We left the place together, then shortly after we left. I got a call from Shandy, she ask me to go back to their company again tomorrow. To meet up with their GM (General Manager) x_X". Oh My God, just such a position. Need to meet up to head for the company -_-"

Nvm, all the best for me tomorrow ...... ..... .... ... .. .

Genting - Day 4

Today is the last day @ Genting =(

Early morning the whole family woke up, we need to pack up everything and get ready to check out of the Hotel before 12pm.



We managed to pack up everything and check out @ 11.45 at the lobby. A pic of my bro looking sad, cos we are checking out.


We decided to had our brunh(breakfast + lunch) here. Seeing the title only, i thought it only selli chicken rice. But after looking at the menu, feeling very surprise on what they have =P.

You will know why i say that if you been through the same kind of food i have before. In my mind before this trip, there is only mushroom farm food are the best & cheap. But after this Genting trip, i discover their food standard had really gone up =)

Before my journey back to SG, i called up my dear to chit chat with her. She was at her workplace alone, so she can chat with me =P. All her collegues had went for a meeting elsewhere, we chatted all the way till i am going to board my caoch then i finally let her off =P.


Journey home starts - Coach PA 6469 Y will be driving us back to SG.

Omg it begins raining heavily.
During my journey on the coach, hp part 2. I called up my lao po, to say farewell to her.


Finally the coach stopped for our dinner -_-". I am super hungry, anything fast or easy to order is what i am looking for. My wonderfull bowl of fishball noodle, look delicious. But not as good as what i ate in sg =_=".

Finally at around 7plus we reached check point, preparing to enter singapore. Then another 1hr plus, we finally alight from the bus, and then take MRT back home =_=". So tiring, so many bag of things to carry... Haizz
